The southern terminus of the Central Vermont is in New London, CT. The dual-span "Gold Star" bridge carries I-95 across the Thames River, which in NEW London is pronounced exactly as it is spelled, NOT "Tems" as in OLD London. That's how the colonists "thumbed their noses" at the British crown. |
