Harley. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Tom Harley that was taken in Englewood, Illinois, c. 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6829, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in August of 1956 after 30 years of faithful service. In this context, it's rockin' 'n' rollin' with a 15-car eastbound troop train. |
