With a thick fog enveloping the La Crosse River valley this morning, UP 5256 (AC45CCTE) prepares to haul an empty train of coal hoppers out of Bangor Siding after waiting for two eastbound trains to pass. This train was headed west across the Mississippi river via CP rails to the Marquette Subdivision in Minnesota. Photo taken from Manke-Hesselberg Rd in Bangor, WI. Note the burnt out ditch light on 5256. |
