| This local runs with power on each end to facilitate a reversal in direction at Clinton to head down the ex-Milwaukee Road R&SW Division to Beloit and South Beloit (IL). Everything but the two hoppers closest to 1145 will be dropped at Clinton. You can see from the orange conduit sticking out of the ground, preparations are underway for the replacement of the venerable searchlight signals along this portion of the line (which were themselves salvaged by C&NW from an ex-CGW line to replace the original semaphores on this line). |
