A pair of Amtrak P30CH units, led by the 702, were on the westbound SUNSET as the train made its way from New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal to the Huey P. Long Bridge. The train was on NOUPT’s WESTERN CONNECTION at the Cold Storage Road grade crossing, approaching the Illinois Central Gulf connection at SOUTHPORT JUNCTION. The train operated over NOUPT, ICG and New Orleans Public Belt tracks to get to the Southern Pacific at the west end of the Bridge. |
