Southern Pacific (Texas & New Orleans) P-6 class 4-6-2 615 was smoking it up as it backed into Union Station in New Orleans for the 8:25 A.M. departure of train No. 7, the westbound ALAMO. No. 7 was discontinued in December 1952, while the 615 was sold for scrap at Houston in January 1953. (approximate date of photo) |
