This series of photographs cover unloading and storage of rail along the WSRR row in Walkersville. The rail is earmarked for future projects. It helps to know the center of each stick so the rail is balanced when lifting. This stick rail was orgionally 39 feet long when in main line service else where on the PRR. The Pennsy removed 3 feet from each end and redrilled the rail then relayed on this branch line. /DL |
