PC Power. Here is an original photo that I took near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 5 June 1975. Shown here (L to R) are Penn Central Railroad engines #6278 and #2297. Both were built by GM-EMD. #6278 is an SD40 and #2297 is a GP35. They're pulling an eastbound merchandise freight (with autoracks) and are about to cross State Route 829 ~ just off of US Route 22, East of Huntingdon. The mountains of the Juniata River Valley dominate the distance. |
