this 1901 Burnham, Williams & Co (Baldwin) Prairie style locomotive as an ATSF class 1000 (named after the first loco number in the group). It had 79" drivers and 200 psi boiler pressure. Rebuilt by the ATSF shops between 1912-18, it lasted decades before the class was retired between 1941-54. This is a Forrest Trittenbach photo. |
