| Built for N de M as an SDP40 equipped with a steam generator for passenger service, this unit and one other were rebuilt by EMD and emerged as SD22ECOs. These units kept their squared off rear ends, steam generator grills and roof exhaust stacks. These two are normally based in Wylie Yard and assigned to local service around Dallas/Fort Worth so to catch this one in Shreveport was a nice surprise. |
