This is a close up of the train order signal at the old ACL-SCL depot in Headland AL. Rather than have blades that raised up and down, this entire mast would turn thereby either indicating proceed or stop. The pole extended down into the train order operators office where he could turn it based on whether he had train orders for a train or not. |
