CRI&P #1820         
CRI&P heavyweight locomotive instruction car #1820 (ex-Pullman baggage-buffet-club-smoker-barber NATIONAL ROAD) (Lot #4885, Plan #3951/L, October 1925), built for assignment to the NATIONAL LIMITED, set aside in June 1944 as the paint-and-upholstery shop (and foreman's office) at B&OCT yard in Chicago, sold to EMD in May 1947 as the office-storage-dormitory car for the TRAIN OF TOMORROW, later resold to the Rock Island as the #1820, later resold to private ownership (Rocky River, OH), repainted in Tuscan Red with NATIONAL ROAD reapplied, located at the Beachcliff Market Square, reportedly scrapped sometime after July 1999. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a duplicate Ektachrome 35mm slide. Date and month are approximate. Photographer is unknown.
