| Kansas City Southern 794 was previously Illinois Central Gulf 3058 and was photographed at West Yard, just outside of New Orleans. It was one of 19 former IC/ICG GP40's acquired in 1982, when they came off lease. All but one of those units arrived with 2600-gallon fuel tanks, but the KCS has added an 800-gallon auxiliary fuel tank added between the 794's front truck and the as-built tank. |
