Description:  Built by Pullman in 1926 as a coach/baggage combo interurban, this unit is rolling away from the Carroll Avenue station next to the CSS shops and yard in Michigan City. It is reported that the unit was scrapped. The slide came from the Houser collection.

Description:  Caught just outside the shops building in Michigan city by a rail fan listed only as "BH", this is one of the Pullmn coach/baggage combo interurban cars built in August of 1927. Note the "Little Engine That Could" logo on the side of the car. No exact date was given for the photo but it appears to be in the late 1970's.

Description:  Built in 1908 by Pullman. The following is from a display on the car: Chicago Railways operated 575 miles of streetcar lines, primarily in the Loop and on the North and West sides. In 1914, it joined with the smaller Calumet & South Chicago Railway, the Chicago City Railway, and the Southern Street Railway to form the consolidated Chicago Surface Lines system. CSL operated all streetcars until 1947, when the CTA assumed control. This larger double-ended wooden pay-as-you-enter car was built as Chicago Railways 144. In its classic red-and-yellow paint, it is representative of 600 such Big Pullman cars operated throughout CSLs system. CSL (and later CTA) 144 continued in service until the end of streetcar operations, and was retired by the CTA in 1958. IRM purchased the car from the CTA in 1958, and restored it to operation.

Number 201 was built by Pullman Car and Manufacturing in 1927 (along with #'s 202-210) as a 60 foot control trailer and included a Pullman-type smoking compartment. During 1946 number 201 was lengthened to 77 foot by splicing a 17 foot section in the middle.
