Album Info:NS, being a "spartan cab only" railroad, did not order and SD60I's or SD60M's. However, they received quite a few from the Conrail split. This brought additional variety (and color) to the NS. Many kept their red front & rear marker lights for a long time. NS also bought 9 ex-BNSF "triclops" (3 window front cab) versions off the lease market. NS announced that they would rebuild all of the SD60's models under the SD60E program, which has already turned out almost 135 before being ended. However, by the end of 2019, all were gone from the roster.
